5 Day Tour

Day 1 CORNWAL-CHAMBERSBURG, PA Our travels this morning take us along the Adirondack Parkway in Upper New York State into Pennsylvania and our overnight destination at Chambersburg.
Day 2 CHAMBERSBURG PA – WASHINGTON DC Today we are headed for the heart of Washington DC, our home for the next three nights, the Hampton Inn, which is a few blocks from The White House. We’ll do lunch at Union Station and then look forward to a tour of Washington this afternoon. The highlights of this tour will include a drive past the White House, home of President Obama, to the other end of the National Mall to view the US Capital. We will visit the Lincoln Memorial dedicated to the man who’s wisdom helped shape the country. The view from here towards the Washington Monument (which we will see close up) is simply breathtaking. The Vietnam Veterans, World War and Korean War Veterans Memorials are absolutely amazing. We will travel over to Arlington VA to Arlington Cemetery to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Kennedy Graves. Our tour will also take us by the blossoming cherry trees which herald the beginning of spring in Washington. (B)
Day 3 WASHINGTON DC This morning we board Spirit Cruises for our cruise on the Potomac River to Mount Vernon, former President George Washington’s Estate. We will have lunch with a visitor from the past, and time to tour the estate. Our coach will pick us up at the estate and transport us to the Mount Vernon Distillery & Gristmill for a tour. Following the tour we will return to Washington. Evening at leisure. (B)
Day 4 WASHINGTON, DC – CHAMBERSBURG, PA We expect to be spending the morning doing either a Capital tour or a Pentagon tour. Overnight at Chambersburg. Our coach will
leave Washington late this afternoon. (B)
Day 5 Homeward Bound. Our tour will be stopping at the duty free shop before crossing back into Canada. (B)
